ARTICLE WRITTEN MAY 2016

From the 6th - 9th May we were trading in our usual spot at the Hemsby Rock n Roll weekender. Which as most of you know, has been going twice a year for so long, this one was number 56! We enjoyed trading during the day and meeting old and new customers, and had a great time with friends in the evenings.

There were loads of amazing bands, and some of the best DJ's around.

Unfortunately, we miss most things taking part during the day due to working behind the stall. Which means we missed the Show 'n' Shine Classic Car and Motorcycle Show and the Hemsby Rockin' Mississippi Cruise, but some of our friends went to both and enjoyed them.  We did make up for it by trying not to miss a lot of the bands and DJ's in the evening!

What we did take part in during the day again this year, was the Hemsby Pin-Up Queen Contest. This year it was co organised by Emma from Miss Bamboo, and took place in the
Harlequin Ballroom as usual (which has been newly refurbished and looks fabulous).

We sponsored Haili Hughes, shown here wearing a dress by Miss Bamboo and red Judy style shoes by Rocket Originals.  The pic on the right is the winner of the contest, Emma Loise Wright (sponsored by Miss Fortune) being crowned.

Everyone taking part looked fabulous and did really well. It was nice to see 2 pairs of Rocket Originals' shoes in the line-up of the Hemsby Pin-Up Contest. Here are all the lovely ladies:

Spinning the wax during the contest was our friend and DJ, Andy Munday:

Here's a pic of part of our stall (the only one we took), showing some of
our new '8' diamond socks!  Exact copies of some Elvis used to wear.

Before going out on Friday night, we had a 'surprise' 30th Birthday party for
our friend Jenny in Phil and Jo's (owners of Freddies of Pinewood) chalet:

A big "thank you" to Varick and Willie Jeffery, Viv Roberts and Dave Crozier, and everyone who works hard behind the scenes.
