This ladies sweater is part of our knitwear range knitted here in the U.K. for Rocket Originals. We have taken great care to make them as authentic as possible, and to achieve that vintage look all our designs are taken from original 1940's knitting patterns.

This particular lace-stitch design is taken from a 1945 pattern called "The Victory Jumper"  and was in red, white and blue on the original pattern (we also stocked red/white/blue but have now sold out).

These were knitted on a vintage mechanical knitting machine, although this sweater does actually look hand knitted. Our only compromise on originality is the use of an acrylic mix in with the wool. This makes it easier to care for, it can be machine washed over and over, will keep its shape and won’t shrink.
